Dynaboard Cookie Policy
Last Updated: July 24, 2023
This Cookie Policy explains how Dynaboard, Inc. (hereinafter “Dynaboard”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on out website located at www.dynaboard.com (opens in a new tab) or any other websites, mobile applications, pages, features, or content we own or operate or when you interact with Dynaboard online advertisements or marketing emails (collectively the "Sites"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.
In some cases, we may use cookies and similar technologies to collect personal information, or information that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information. In such cases the Dynaboard’s Global Privacy Policy will apply in addition to this Cookie Policy.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. If we do, last modified date above will be updated. You should revisit this page if you wish to keep yourself informed. If you have any questions about our use of cookies or other technologies, please email us at security@dynaboard.com.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device in order to remember information about you, such as your language preference. Those cookies are set by us and are called first-party cookies. We also use third-party cookies – which are cookies set by an organization other than Dynaboard – for our advertising and marketing efforts.
Cookies do not contain confidential information such as your home address, telephone number or credit card details. We do not exchange cookies with any third-party websites or external data suppliers. If you do choose to disable cookies, you may find that certain sections of our Sites do not work properly.
WHAT OTHER SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES DO WE USE?
Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track users of our Sites. We may use other similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs") to track users of our Sites. These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has interacted with our Sites, such as opening an e-mail that we have sent them. The use of web beacons (or similar technologies) allow us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users within our Sites, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Sites from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve our online services, and to measure the success of e-mail marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.
We and our service providers and third parties we collaborate with, including ad networks, may use cross-device/cross-context tracking. For example, you might use multiple browsers on a single device, or use various devices (such as desktops, smartphones, and tablets), which can result in your having multiple accounts or profiles across these various contexts and devices. Cross-device/cross-context technology may be used to connect these various accounts or profiles and the corresponding data from the different contexts and devices.
WHY DO WE USE COOKIES?
When you access our Sites and Services, we or companies we work with may place cookies on your computer or other device. These technologies help us better understand user behavior, and inform us about which parts of our websites people have visited.
We use first party and third party cookies to recognize you as a Dynaboard customer, customize our content and advertising, to measure promotional effectiveness, and to collect information about your computer or other access device to mitigate risk, help prevent fraud, and promote trust and safety.
We may place cookies from third-party service providers who may use information about your visits to other websites to target advertisements for products and services available from Dynaboard. We do not control the types of information collected and stored by these third-party cookies. You should check the third-party's website for more information on how they use cookies.
The following are some examples of information that we collect and how we may use it:
- We may collect and store details of how you use our Sites. Except in limited instances to ensure quality of our services over the Internet, such information will not be associated with your IP address.
- We may collect information such as your language, inferred zip code or area code, unique device identifier, referrer URL, location, and time zone so that we can better understand customer behavior and improve our services.
WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES DO WE USE?
We may use the following types of cookies on the Sites:
Category | Description |
---|---|
Essential Cookies | Essential cookies are also referred to as “strictly necessary” since without them we cannot provide the functionality required to use the Services. For example, essential Cookies may bolster security, or help with load balancing as users navigate through the Services. |
Performance/Analytics Cookies | Performance/Analytics Cookies track information about visits to the Services so that we or our Customers can make improvements and report on performance. These Cookies collect information about how visitors use the Services, which site or page the user came from, the number of each user’s visits and how long a user stays on the Services. We may also use Analytics Cookies to test new features to see how users react to them. |
Functionality/Personalization Cookies | During users’ interaction with the Services, Functionality Cookies are used to remember information users have entered. They also store user preferences when personalizing the Services to optimize the use of the Services. These preferences are remembered through the use of the persistent Cookies, and the next time a user engages with the Services they will not have to set them again. |
Advertising/Targeting/Marketing Cookies | We and third-party advertising partners may use cookies to collect data from visitors to our sites for analytics and targeted advertising purposes. These cookies may be used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant ads on other sites. They are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will still continue to see generic advertising on our site and elsewhere online. |
In Appendices A and B you can view a chart with more information about the cookies on our Sites.
